Mesotherapy

WHAT IS MESOTHERAPY?

Mesotherapy is a technique, invented in 1952 by Dr. Michel Pistor, where medication is injected into the mesoderm, the layer of fat and connective tissue under the skin. Over the past 50+ years, in excess of 15,000 physicians world-wide have used Mesotherapy on a daily basis for a variety of purposes, including weight loss, spot weight reduction, cellulite reduction, scar revision, wrinkle elimination and hair loss.

MESOCELLULITE - THE BEST SOLUTION FOR CELLULITE

Cellulite is the appearance of an unattractive dimpled skin or "dimpled fat" on or around the outer thighs, buttocks and other body areas where large areas of fat are found in close proximity to the skin. Women are more affected by cellulite formation than men, especially on the thighs. Cellulite formations start in puberty in women as hormones change. Most women over age 18 have some degree of cellulite. In men, loose fat on the hips (love handles), chest (pectoral) areas and the thighs can resemble cellulite. A person does not have to be overweight to develop this dimpled skin called cellulite and cellulite is not always reduced by weight loss. The scientific theory of cellulite is that the skin's underlying supports called fibrous septae do not hold the skin together evenly and this uneven support causes the irregular bulging and dimples. The skin is tethered down by string-like tissues that pull it inward, toward the interior of the body. The tension of these strings pulls sections of fat in along with them. Cellulite has been compared to the dimples in a mattress that are caused by the strings that hold the "tucks" down.

MESOFACELIFT - NON-SURGICAL FACELIFT & SKIN REJUVENATION

The aging process can be cruel to our skin. Between sun damage and progressive collagen loss, the skin loses its plumpness and resiliency. Mesotherapy skin rejuvenation or "MesoFacelift" infuses the dermis with potent vitamins and anti-oxidants to rejuvenate and revitalize the skin. Think of it as replacing the padding underneath a worn carpet. People who have had MesoFacelift describe their skin as firm, radiant, youthful and glowing. The MesoFacelift is usually performed in an initial series of 2-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Results are maintained by twice a year touch up sessions. Price per area: $150.00

MESOSCULPTING - NON-SURGICAL LIPOSUCTION

For those who find liposuction "too much" , or those who have already had liposuction, and now find fat depositing in other areas as well as cellulite that's worse than before, non-invasive Mesotherapy for fat loss and body contouring is the perfect answer. Mesosculpting is the answer to the question that so many people have been asking: Is it possible to get rid of fat without having some kind of invasive procedure?

Mesosculpting has been touted as the latest breakthrough for body sculpting and cellulite reduction. Approximately 20% of patients claimed immediate results for losing inches and some weight, for others the results are slower but still very noticeable. Patients still have to watch their diets and exercise regularly to lose the fat and keep it off. Microinjections are given using a proprietary, individualized "fat burning" formula. These injections are given directly into the areas being treated i.e. love handles, bra bulges, saddlebags, etc.

Mesotherapy benefits include: improved blood flow to the area, dissolving excess fat deposits, removing fibrotic hardened connective tissue and improved lymphatic drainage. A series of treatments are given spaced at least 3 weeks apart. Results are considered permanent as long as the patient adheres to a proper nutrition and exercise regimen. Occasional touch-ups may be required.

Mesosculpting is not considered as alternative to an educated and self-empowered healthy lifestyle. It is, however, a very useful tool to have in your weight loss and skin beautification toolbox! Price per area: $150.00-250.00

There are different stages of cellulite, and depending on the stage you are in, you will need multiple treatments of mesotherapy.

Stage 0: When standing or lying down, skin is smooth. When you pinch, you see only folds, but not cellulite.
Stage 1: When standing or lying down, skin is still smooth. But when you pinch, you notice dimples.
Stage 2: While lying down, your skin may be smooth looking, however, when you stand, you see "orange peel" skin.
Stage 3: Cellulite is seen clearly whether you pinch or not, cottage cheese appearance.
Stage 4: Cellulite is severe causing skin dimpling with humps and dumps patterns.

All patients undergoing Mesotherapy for sculpting and cellulite will be asked to follow a low carbohydrate, low sugar, natural healthy diet, which will be easy to follow; And because toxins are eliminated, lots of water is used to flush these substances, along with dissolved fat, out of the body. Exercise is needed to circulate the medications used, with either walking or another form of aerobic activity, three times a week.

Adults between the ages of 18 - 75 and in good health are candidates for Mesotherapy for weight loss, spot weight reduction, and cellulite reduction. Patients who are pregnant, on blood thinners, are insulin-dependent diabetics, on medication for heart arrhythmias, have severe heart disease or have cancer are not candidates for cosmetic Mesotherapy. We are happy to discuss your medical problems and medications during a consultation.

Mesotherapy is a painless alternative to liposuction. Fat and cellulite are eliminated from targeted sites using the same techniques as above. Unlike liposuction, only the fat (not the fat cells) is removed. Some patients can lose two to six inches in their saddle bags, hips, thighs, waist, love handles, back fat and chin when medicine is placed in those areas. Mesotherapy is not used to reduce fatty tumors or breast tissue in women. Price per area: $150.00
